Can you help on The Big Bus?

The Big Bus, the provider of educational software for three to eleven year olds, today announces two new multi-tasking activities to add to its array of informative and fun games for children. Can you Help? and Help! have been designed specifically for both Foundation Stage and Key Stage One.

These new activities are based around an adventure of helping forgetful Aunt Dotty to find her lost key for her mystery box. To find the key, children have to successfully complete four different activities to enable them to open the box and find their reward.

During the game, children will have help a hairdresser sort out different coloured dyes, help a shop keeper sort sweets by shape, help a fire fighter assemble a ladder to reach and rescue a cat up a tree, and help the manager of a recycling centre sort different materials.

While expanding their computer and mouse skills, Can you Help? and Help! are also encouraging children to use their reasoning skills and teaching them the advantages of helping people.

Ian Goodall, Managing Director of The Big Bus, commented: “We have designed the games to not only further children’s computer skills, but to also teach social skills through the community based game. Research shows that children learn best when they are entertained, which is why Can you help? and Help! are so successful.”

Can you Help? and Help! are available to subscribers online and on the Spring Term CD-ROM. Annual subscriptions for The Big Bus, which is continually updated with new activities, is available at £90 for nursery schools and £180 for primary level and includes lesson plans and curriculum references.
