Compact Computer Kit for the Interactive Classroom from Centerprise International

Small is beautiful on stand F20 at BETT 2003, where BecTa Managed Services Suppliers Centerprise International is launching its highly compact yet powerful Micro 340 Desktop and Micro 545 Tower small form factor PCs, its super slim CI1200R 1U Server measuring just 44mm high and the new Samsung V20 Series laptop. Also featured will be ultra small footprint 17" and 19" Hyundai flat screen monitors, ideal for maximising available desk space, a range of infrared keyboards and wireless mice, perfect for interactive lessons using whiteboards, and Freedom2Teach, an intelligent Internet management solution.

Built to order, the Centerprise Micro 340 small form factor PC features an ultra slim desktop case that uses standard Micro-ATX motherboards offering Intel processor speeds of up to 2.2GHz and high memory and storage capability. This particular PC measures just 95mm high, 325mm wide and 400mm deep and weighs in at 4.1kg. Featuring all the power of a full tower system, the custom-built Centerprise Micro 545 PC comes complete with the latest Intel or AMD processors and is upgrade-friendly in its construction. The Micro 545 measures just 342mm high, 143mm wide and 346mm deep and weighs 4.9kg. Front access USB ports, generous expansion slots and in-built CD/DVD drives complete the package for both the Micro 340 and Micro 545.

Offering the perfect balance between performance and value, the Samsung V20 Series of notebook PCs are built around the latest Intel Celeron and Pentium 4 processors and feature 14" and 15" TFT LCD displays giving outstanding visual quality. Expansion options include a single PC Card slot, upgradeable hard disk and two high-speed USB 2.0 ports for connecting devices such as scanners and external storage. The Pentium 4 models also come equipped with an IEEE-1394 connector for linking to digital camcorders for video editing.

Designed to make the best use of limited space, the 1U CI1200R (IDE) and CI1210R (SCSI) custom-built servers from Centerprise utilise the Intel SCB2 Server board integrated into the Intel SR1200 Server Chassis which measures just 44mm high. Ideal for use as web, file or print servers, they feature front access serial and USB ports, chassis intrusion protection and optional locking bezels for maximum security.

Claimed to be the smallest footprint 17" and 19" flat screen monitors in the world, the new Hyundai Q770 and Q910 offer superb resolution, dynamic focus, image colour matching, anti-reflection and anti-static coatings and advanced digital on-screen controls.

Designed with teachers in mind, Freedom2Teach enables Internet-based ICT to be easily adopted by teachers as part of their day-to-day routine and permits resources to be shared across schools via a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN). Email filtering, web filtering and virus protection are just a few of the benefits of installing this new solution.
